He was a surprise name coming back in the trade, but he's seems decent. AHL rookie of the year, last season. All in all, Sabres fans of course wanted more for Kane, but what we received wasn't bad for a UFA. If the 2nd turns into a 1st, the deal will be just fine on our side of things.

back from my san francisco trip. went to sharks oilers there. such a different atmosphere there its strange. lots of empty seats but "great turnout" and definitely casual fans.

and mcdavid is a freak in person like, i honestly want to be an oilers groupie and just follow them around to all their road games. watching him live is just surreal.

also san jose has a huge almost food court downtown where you can buy beer and walk between different restaurants.. basically the mall food court with beer.

would be awesome to have that downtown but i guess it doesn't work as well with the cold weather

No idea..it just figures that as soon as I find a reason to force myself to watch Sabres games...that reason gets injured.

I hate these games. I want the Sabres to beat the leafs so bad, but you know wins only hurts their chances in pick in the top 4 of the draft.

If 4 wins over the leafs gave us our last remaining 8pts in the standings, sign me up. But, right now every point matters and we need either Dahlin or Zad/Svech too badly.

It's not about destroying their confidence going into the playoffs, it's about us showing something against our biggest rival, and it's about our fan base getting a small win against a fan base that has relentlessly mocked and derided us all season long. Actually, multiple seasons now.

I would like to get your take on on when and how the Sabres will be a playoff team.
